Dunn Rite Ranch Barn Rules STABLES: 1. Stables will be kept clean, free of manure as well as garbage. 2. Hoses will be wound up, baling twine picked up, etc. 3. All Horses will be locked in their stalls / pastures at night. 4. No horses in the boarding area whose owners do not have a Boarding Agreement. 5. Lock all gates every time you go through them. All gates are closed at all times unless you are going through them. 6. Horse manure will be dumped in pasture and spread out to discourage flies. RANCH GROUNDS 1. Vehicles should be parked in marked parking areas only. 2. Speed limit is 5 mph. Please avoid bright headlights shining on the homes in the area. 3. Quiet time is 10 pm - 7 am. Please keep voices and noise down during this time. 4. Pick up trash when you see it. 5. Use the playground at your own risk. Adult supervision for small children. 5. If you move any benches or tables, please put them back. 6. Do not use the firewood or fire pit without permission. 7. Anything you use, put it back where you found it. 8. DOGS - Please supervise your dogs. If there are riders in the common area, please keep dogs on a leash. 9. Pick up all horse and dog poop and dispose of it properly! ARENA / ROUND PEN Facilities are available for Open Riding 8 am to 10 pm anytime they are not booked for exclusive time on our schedule. Use by boarders and their guests only. This facility is not open to the public. Please check the calendar on Tack Shed often for changes. 1. Guest use of facilities by permission only. 2. Every person (rider/non rider) who visits our facilities must sign a release of liability. Forms are available from Joyce or Don Dunn, and must be in the pay box with payment before horses are unloaded from trailers. Forms are kept on file for one year. Please update if there are changes to your personal information. 3. Non-boarders pay $3.00 a visit to use the facilities. The pay box is on the North end of the arena. If you are paying with cash, put it in an envelope (provided) write your name & # of horses on the envelope, so we can credit you for paying. Unidentified cash is considered Non-Payment. 4. PLEASE REMOVE MANURE FROM ARENA / ROUND PEN ASAP SO THAT IT IS NOT GROUND INTO THE SAND. WHEELBARROWS ARE AVAILABLE FOR YOUR USE. 5. We require each person to clean up after their horse(s) in all areas and parking lot. PLEASE EMPTY THE WHEELBARROWS INTO THE PASTURE WHERE IT CAN BE SPREAD AND DRIED OR TAKE IT HOME. THIS IS NOT A PUBLIC RIDING FACILITY, IT IS THE DUNNS’ HOME. PLEASE TREAT IT AS SUCH. Helpful Information Essentials: Check in time: After 4:00 pm or as agreed. From I-84 Eastbound, take Garrity Rd exit, exit to the right on Garrity, immediately left on Stamm, right on Robinson, left on Victory, right on McDermott Rd. From I-84 Westbound, take Ten Mile Road (Meridian exit) left on Ten Mile rd, Right on Victory, left on McDermott rd. McDermott is the county line, so the numbers are not in order. Look for “Dunn Rite Ranch”. Parking: Horse trailers pull straight in and around the back of our house. Head toward the hay barn and park along the playground. Unload horses from there. Stalls: Stalls are behind the tack house and the gate to the alley way is on the right end. Stalls are numbered above the gates. RV Hookups: There are water spigots, and rv dumps available. RV Spaces with electric are next to the bunkhouse. Around town: Ford Idaho Horse Park / Equine Hospital: Directions: Left on McDermott rd, left on Victory rd, right on Robison rd (over the freeway to the round about), left on Franklin rd. It is on the right. 4.7 miles Walmart: Left on McDermott rd, left on Victory rd, right on Robison rd (over the freeway to the round about), left on Franklin rd. It is on the left. 4.6 miles Quick Care, Winco groceries, gas, movie theater, fast food, Starbucks, freeway entrance: Left on McDermott rd, left on Victory rd, right on Happy Valley rd straight until you see the shopping area. 4.0 miles More shopping / restaurants: Left on McDermott rd, left on Victory rd, right on Happy Valley rd, left on Stamm, right on Garrity to the freeway. East to Meridian / Boise is the Village Shopping Center off of Eagle Rd north. (9.9 miles) West to Nampa / Caldwell is the Costco / Marketplace area off of Midland Rd. (9.6 miles)
